Default hydro gearbox slave travel

ive installed my clutch setup
ap racing 14mm master cylinder
mini pedal box
honda slave cylinder
Im concerned about whether i have my master cylinder pushrod length correct, as apparently its easy to overthrow the clutch and damage it.
Ive measured the travel of the slave cylinder rod when the pedal is fully pressed, it is 10mm travel.
Car is not running yet so cant start it and test while engine running.
How much travel do i need to be able to change gear?

Sorry I cant help with the measurement for slave travel. However you could try following the advice given in this video for setting a clutch stop, which doesn't need to have the engine running.

I have fitted a pedal stop to my car using this technique, and its working ok for me (over 9K kms so far).
