Alternator bracket now all done
![]() ![]() Got some glass in, changed to some opening rear quarters as they matched the fronts, turned out all my glass is different colours ![]() Interior is starting to come together, had to change to some different seats a mouse ate one of the Speedwell seats. ![]() ![]() ![]() Brake lines are now all done ![]() ![]() |

Great progress.
How does your manifold and air filter sit with your alternator there? I’ve sourced an alternator from a Suzuki swift so going to try a similar mounting position to yours.

Finished getting the rad all plumbed in.
![]() ![]() This is what underneath the roof looks like ![]() The inlet clears the alternator with plenty of room, had to make a pipe out of steel to get the angles needed for one of the hoses. ![]() ![]() ![]() Got the glass in, just need to do the locking strips. Theres a few ways to do this, we did it by putting the seal in the car then putting the bottom of the glass in as best we could and then with some levering in with a screwdriver, a lot of pushing and pulling from inside and out it went in no problem. Also got the mounts for the bonnet pins done. ![]() ![]() ![]() Did the engine wiring before, now have spent about 8 hours sorting the mini side of things, is all neat tidy and works as it should and as always any questionable wiring has been removed and replaced. |

Fan switch on the dash panel
![]() Went to it's first show on Boxing Day ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Had it's first breakdown. ![]() And a few pictures of it pretty much finished ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Few jobs lefts which are. - Get suspension set up, everything is miles out - Put a bit more carpet it - Oil and filter - Get on ramp, strip back, repaint and underseal - Put door and bonnet roundels on - Sort speedo cable and gauges |

Little update Went to London To Brighton ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() by the book oil change ![]() Local show in Tewin ![]() Photoshoot for Mini Magazine, can't believe I have to wait until it's published before I can see the pics! ![]() ![]() ![]() New ECU ready for new engine. ![]() Is called a Speeduino, is basically a mega squirt but a bit more DIY and a lot cheaper. Is wired into existing ECU plug so will be plug and play. Ready for new engine to go in which is E16SE, ported head, C16SE inlet, red top injectors, 288 cam, ARP rod bolts, uprated fuel pump. Might get a lightened flywheel to go in. Should be going in over the winter. |
