Looks like a whole car! Well done. Front arches look good - have you set the final ride height and checked for suspension travel? Those front tyres look awful close....

Yeah the final height has been set. When arches were fitted, I jumped up on the engine and bounced up and down many times, and they didn't touch the arch, so in my eyes that's good enough

Cheers,
Pike

back end is all built up now, lights all working, poly carb boot lid and poly carb rear quarters all in tight. arches are also on, just not in the pic

the drivers door is also built up and fitted, still shimming out the door gaps on passenger side as somehow this changes after paint?!?!?

front end is also on, just need to build it up.

Yeah mate abs motorsport I got mine from, can't complain brilliant fit. Leave about 2 inch lip all round the roof, ground it back to bare metal, etch primed then siliconed the roof in place. Had to shave the roof in a few places to get it to fit perfect but it was pretty much ok from the off. Ratchet straps used to hold it down then when the silicone was going off. Pike

so been building stuff back up on the car and fitting it slowly. things take much longer after paint, im bananas scared of marking something!

still got a list longer than my leg of things to do, but at least it looks and drives like a car now. hoping to get it MOT'd before May is out.

The front arches look like they've been rotated too far forward, the rear section is supposed to sit on the sill/arch lip on the A Panel.

oz you are right mate, but wanted to tie it into the front bumper thing, so roatated them forward. doesnt look that bad tbh.

got the front end built up, all lights etc are working so chuffed with that.

then decided to fix something thats been bugging me for ages. the steering wheel wasnt quite centre to the seat, and it just wasnt in a nice position. cue some rose joints, bearings, a few universal joints, a weld on quick release hub, a new wheel and some adapter plates and we have a new and improved steering system. im chuffed with how it came out, looks good and is functional too. first 2 pics are the mock up, last 2 are the final thing

ive got some self adhesive felt for the interior, once thats done the interior is finished. then engine back out again to tidy up some paint work on the subframe, and shes good to go.

Mini is bottoms of the list at the minute, the Mercedes is having all the attention. The 3.6 AMG isn’t behaving properly, so is being pulled out for a spare 3.2 I have.... and then the 3.6 is being turbo’ed. Mini is on backburners
