Got a mate of mine who works for a large garage supply company up here to get me my plates.

Also spoke with my painter toady and I'm picking up my wheel arches tomorrow after work the Monday I'll get the doors and boot, and Tuesday collect the front and bonnet. Don't want to collect them all at once as I don't want to scratch them.

Got my doors back yesterday, so I started to build them back up, all went well until it came to the drivers door handle/lock only to find the the threads have been stripped in one of the holes and that the locks themselves are beyond saving / repairing. A quick search and found a replacement door handle and a new lock set has been ordered, so Ill get these fitted to the car today that'll be another thing off the list and getting closer to being rebuilt!

Yeah just a bit! but it's been one forward and 2 back, spent the last 6 hours tracing a wiring fault causing the ecu to stay powered up even when the keys are out turned out to be a fault relay anyway sorted now
started re-fitting the fuse and relay panel and also the plate that blanks the hole in the bulkhead that the main wiring grommet goes through. Not long now

Getting there slowly rebuilt the doors, new locks, mounted the doors to the car, fitted the windows (had to replace on of the sliders on the drivers door glass as it was corroded and splaying apart), fitted my mirror mounts (wasn't happy with drilling into my freshly painted skins! but they have come out alright. Will have to do a little fetaling with the drivers door as it's not touching the seal right in the top corner near the screen this evening one of my mates come round and helped with the front end, so headlight bowls, headlights and indicators and all back in and the dezus fasteners back on the wings (I'd like to try and find some stainless ones as the plated ones have started to rust ) Hopefully it should be back on it's wheels tomorrow, then wait for another mate to come back from Trinidad Thursday then I can get my suspension set up.

I spent an hour and a half trying to (fix) the door locking mechanism on the drivers door only to work out I had flipped to locking bar over and got the sides mixed up and couldn't work out why it wouldn't open the door from the inside

Good Luck, will be nice to see it up and on the road.

Great news on getting ready for MOT. It will feel good but a nervous first legal drive. The car looks great. Good colour choice!

Get some miles on it before chasing power mods. Too many on here are in bits doing exactly that. I have 2 mates local to me decided to do the K series conversion and they got taken for a drive for under 5 minutes in Phoenix which now is low powered up to most on here.
