Pulled my finger out over the weekend and did some work on the mini... finished off the wiring loom and pluged it on and she fired straight up on the key Was well chuffed about that. Refitted the hubs and wheels and its now back on all 4s, need 2 sort out drive shafts lenghts now and plumb up the cooling system. Will take some pics nextd week some time.

Little bit up and up date and a few pics... Me and a friend are now renting a 500 square foot unit and the mini now lives down there so much better than having it in my single garage at home, can walk around the hole car with ease. Weve got a ramp and air tools now as well so makes life a lot easier

The remote oil feed

The cars now up off the ground on axle stands... ive removed the rear subframe and repainted/undersilled the hole underneith of the car. Had 2 do the minis first tiny bit of welding in the o/s rear wheel arch, had a little rust hole Just need 2 save up some money 2 build the rear subframe up with new bits now.

Do have some more pics on my iphone and a vid of it running but will take some more on my camrea next time ive got it back on all 4s.

Kinda off topic but I'm planning on moving my mini up to bristol next year. Is there space for one more I need to start thinking about my options but at the moment everything is up in the air. Feel free to PM me if you want.

The build looks like its nearly running!

Just discovered tapa talk... Omg love it makes life soo much easier viewing on my iPhone!! Latest on the mini brought a new genuine rover rear subframe on the weekend as the old one was looking rather tired. In the middle of building the rear end back up and wax oiling the underneath.
My mate got his 18th bday prezzie back from the bodyshop yesterday... Trying 2 perswade him 2 ditch the gay series and go 16v lol

I'm looking in 2 spacers atm the fronts need spacing about 5-10mm 2 clear the callipers. As it stands atm the front track is a fair bit wider than the rear because of the metro turbo drive flanges so I will space the rears out equally. Then should fill the arches nicely with a little bit of tyre poking out

Putting the power down urmmm haven't given that 2 much thought tbh lol super sticky tyres!! The gearbox that's in it atm is out of a rover 214. I plan on building a better gearbox with the Saxo 5th gear like Matt did 4 his.

I thought since I've used the all speed frame it would be a shame 2 run 13s and 10s just look sooo much cooler I reckon. Getting them repainted nextd week then just gotta fork out 4 the tyres :s the question is I've got 5 wellers so do I buy 5 tyres and keep the 5th wheel in the car as a spare?
