So they sent you rods with small end 2mm to big?
I think they should make more effort for you!!!
Or is it a mistake when ordering the spec/size ?
I don't know why it's so slow! It takes about 15 minutes the bosh them holes in the rods?

Yes mate, they raspberryed up! the standard size is 18mm and these should be 18mm, there website lists 18mm in the specs and they have admitted they melonsed up. Turns out 9 people have these useless rods!

Even more annoying I've had these since September and never thought about checking them!

They are also going to enlarge the bolts to 5/16th from 3/8th!

That should deal with you first! No excuses!
The smaller pin gives more meet left in piston
And the smaller pins are a bit lighter,
Not that it's a reason for them to mess about,
Best to complain!

Very happy to see you have actually got these after all the grief the seller got. It must of been a worrying time waiting with the amount of investment you had in them.

Massive shame about the rods. Have you got a new plan of action?

I don't think many people realise the work that goes into building these high powered Mini's. It's a credit to you that you haven't given up to be honest.

Lost all motivation with this project now! still waiting for parts and coming to the verdict that its going to be a never ending money pit.

Really thinking about selling all the forged and turbo parts and breaking the car

don't get rid of the car mate, if the costs are getting to much could you not just sell all the forged parts and chuck a standard turbo or vvc engine in there? just get it back on the road as cheap as possible and enjoy thrashing it?

Yeah what they've said, I got to that point a couple of times over the 6 years it took me to finally get mine one the road, but the grim factor every time I take it out and the upsetting of the boy racer's up here in there fiesta st's, seat leaon's and the like makes it all worth it in the end. Keep it, rebuild it and drive it like you stolen it! you'll regret it if you do sell it.
