Well, we don't have a possibility to get highly modified cars on the road because if 50% or more parts have changed, the car will be classified as a new car which then means you have to pay the taxes of the new car + you have to get through all sorts of tests which are very expensive. I have not heard anyone to go through that.

So what we do then? We keep the changed parts to minimum (or don't tell about them at mot). We get dyno sheets that show that the power increase isn't more than 25% etc..

And then there are some cars on the road with +900hp with heavy modifications. Don't ask me how it's done, friendly mot tester maybe...

Ok, sounds not that easy Swedish system is actually very good, you get a personal sfro Guy that does the scrutinering and helping you out with solutions to get the car on the road

Well my Monaco’s got under the cage, not allowed on the street... I had these grp gt-seats that kind of curves forward at the head and clears the cage and yet maintaining a good driving position easier than moving the cage, they are super light as a bonus!

I think it depends on if the car is registered as what it came from the factory or if it's self-built from the ground up which most likely will be a no-no. Also if it's from '77 or older it helps as before that you don't need to have the emissions test and from '94 onwards it's even more strict.

Anyhow, if I remember correctly there's one Pimlico Mini in Finland that can't be put on the road because it's not 'mini enough' or some sort.
