Default C20XE engine and other bits

For sale C20XE engine with F18 WR gearbox with 3.94 final drive and cable clutch mechanism. Included is a wiring loom, ecu, starter motor, two inner cv joints, idle control valve, airflow meter (early 6 pin one), alternator, gearbox front engine mount, coil, air filter box, SFI box and a home made top hat to allow the engine to be fitted into a corsa that came with the manifold when I got it.

700 ono

The engine has been built up from bits of two others. It is a later bottom end running an earlier round tooth belt set up. It is using a distributor and coil with motronic 2.5 ecu. It has a later alternator with the flat belt drive. The exhaust manifold has not be cut or welded and has a lambda sensor fitted.

The guy who sold the bottom end to me said it had only done 9000 miles since its rebuild. I cannot confirm this but if you saw the bores then you would definitely believe this as there was no wear ridge in the bore. The pistons were also spotless, no carbon build up at all.

The cylinder head has had 4 new valves put in it to replace the bent ones, new valve stem seals, new head gasket, rocker cover seals and head bolts. New inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets have been fitted. A brand new water pump has been fitted and a new oil return gasket.

The only thing that this engine will need is an oil filter and oil. It has not been run since it has been assembled. I would advise that once a few miles have been done that the oil and filter is changed. The clutch has life left in it. It will need centralising and the bolts tightened up as I don't have a clutch centralising tool so couldn't do it.

It was built by my house mate Dom and I as a bit of fun with the intention of running it on our university's engine dyno but we were forced to move it out of our house before we had chance.

The ecu and wiring loom aren't pictured but are included.

I may split if there is enough interest however I have a lot of spares for a c20xe engine at the minuet (both distributor and dispack engines) so if there is a part that you want then I may have it anyway

Collection from Just outside Eccleshall, Staffordshire.

HT leads from a dispack c20xe. There are untested so can't confirm if they are OK but they don't appear to have any breaks in them or damage. I have more than one set of these.

5 + P&P (collection is welcome)

Rocker cover and plug cover for an X20XEV engine (I think)

Could do with a good clean

5 + P&P

X20XEV plug cover

1 + P&P

Rocker cover sold

Price drop on engine and gearbox. 600 ono. Will consider splitting.

Still have loads of other c20xe bits so ask if there is something you are after.

I have about 3/4 of another engine in bits.

Price drop on the engine bundle (as originally listed). 450 ono. Need it gone as its in my way. Will consider splitting.

I still have loads of other bits for c20xe engines as well so ask if there is a particular part you need.

I can now provide delivery within reason (75 mile ish radius of stafford) for the cost of my fuel. Ask for a price if interested.

15 for the pair of them and I will find out how many splines either tomorrow or Monday for you. I assume you want to know how many splines for the drive shaft side not gearbox side.

The splines on the CV's are 35 into the gearbox and 25 where the shaft connects to. On further inspection they are not brand new but are still in very good condition.

Reviving a slightly old thread but I got round to sorting through my garage on the weekend and found all the c20xe bits I have left.

Engine, coil, cv's, both sets of ht leads and gearbox are all sold.

For sale:

6 pin early type AFM with air box and pipe work. Air box part number 90 469 420. AFM part number is Bosch 0 280 212 015. 20

Square tooth water pump. Used but in serviceable condition. 10

Idle control valve. Part number Bosch 0 280 140 516. 15

16x hydraulic tappets. Markings are INA. 20

Later type inner belt cover (bit that sits behind the pulleys). 5

Small block vauxhall ht lead with coil lead. Not sure what engine they are for. They look to be in brand new condition but cannot confirm this. 10

Vauxhall F16/18/20 gearbox mount. Not sure what car this is from but it came off an F18 gearbox (not the black one pictured above) I sold years ago and had been lying around in my garage. 5

C20xe square tooth pulleys 5

C20xe square tooth crank pulley. 5

C20xe oil pump. Markings 2676 R90 375 074. 15

C20xe single V belt pulley. 20

Dispack and bracket. Part number Bosch 0 221 503 001. 10

C20xe/C20let standard inlet cam. Part number 2091356. 10

C20xe tensioner pulleys and bracket. Bracket Part number 90 411 763

C20xe steel sump, windage tray, cork gaskets and some sump bolts I have. 15

C20xe oil pickup pipe. 5

Exhaust heat shield. Not sure if this is for a C20xe or X20xev. 5

C20xe crank. This has not been reground. Journals look to be in good nick. 20

C20xe block. This appears to have been rehoned. I guess but one of the rehone tools that you fit into an electric drill. The bores do have a slight lip to them at the top though. Comes with all main caps and what looks like a new set of bearings. 25

C20xe standard pistons with rods and what looks like a new set of bearings and supposedly new rings. Once ring is chipped as shown in the pictures (not very clear). 20

While building the first engine up Dom and I collected most of the bits to build another. The block, crank and pistons came from an engine that I bought to rebuild. I bought the bottom end off a lad who had started to rebuild it but it had locked solid. He had decided to give up on it. He said that he had fitted new bearings and rings. Due to the lack of marks on them I would believe it but I have no proof of this.

I will post everything apart from the block and the crank. I have not got time to wait for a courier so please don't ask. Postage will be charged at cost.

Collection is welcome from near Eccleshall Staffordshire.

Sensible offers will be considered.

I will sell the lot for 200

Crank sold and collected.

Rest of this is on the bay at the minuet. All will finish sunday night. Some stuff will definitely be selling so be quick and ask now if there is something you want.
