dad has slowed on engine progress at the moment , guess he does have other things to do

anyway , allowed me and my daughter to push on with the ecu , (well jimstim first )

this is her helping in 2009 building a jimstim for my 8v turbo ! lol ..

3 hours later , a completed and working jimstim .

Main ECU next, and then modify loom , and located coil pack/leads

do you need to block both block and head ?

could we just do block and leave head allone ? or is that just stupid ?

If I remember correctly - do both.
Then there are no water throughput issues whatsoever...

two lower (cam and crank) seal bolt directly to block

Wow! He's really powering through this build! Wish I had the skills and tools; I've had to go the expensive option using the Force Racing conversion kit (nice piece of engineering!) and got a machine shop doing the work on mine (doing a top job of it though!). Look forward to seeing yours finished!

sorry about lack of pictures , my google account is disabled , and i cant get it re opened at the moment , grrr

anyway

ok been awhile, sorry about dead images , my google account got disabled so have moved images.

ordered dad a 32mm cutter of fleabay , this was to big to actually fit in is mill , so he modified it ,

Then he cut a big peice of would at the correct angle for the piston to be mounted to ( to reflect valve angle , yes we think both inlet and exhaust are a little different on angle but not enough to worry)

also we are doing one size cutter for inlet and exhuast valves.

Test cutting went well , valve centres where marked by sending tool down through valve guides on head and marking piston.

now tested on old piston , block and crank need machining now , so new +20 pistons can be fitted ,marked and machined.

Do you know what the plan is to fuel it yet? I'm not sure I can afford to go injection but not really found anyone who has used carbs instead.
