Default c16se or c20xe redtop engine wanted

I am looking for a c16se or 2.0 redtop engine for my clubby. I currently have the Allspeed ex demo car which has a 1400i engine in. I am seriously considering going for a redtop in the next few months and any help in finding the right engine would be most appriciated. I am not looking for a nail with loads of miles. I am looking for a good quality engine. Many thanks! G

Thanks for your reply! I know if I get a redtop I will need to buy a different subframe from Rob at Allspeed. Just looking at sourcing the right engine for now. Thanks again! G

1.6SE = 1 days work, 2 max
2.0XE = Major work, possibly months.

Maybe compromise with the 1.8 8V?

Good luck with it.

Is it worth bothering for the extra 12-15 horse over the 1.6 ?!

Did you buy the silver clubby?

Keep the 1400 and turbo it - I want to see somebody do it in a Mini.

That might just be me Pob..

Ive already started some enquiries, however im a little concerned about the front end clearance in a standard round nose.

It wont be a quick thing though, ive not even finished the standard conversion yet...

There's a sticky at the top of the Vauxhall section that gives cc, code power and torque outputs.

C16SE Turbo - its not in a mini, but theres plenty of food for thought there.
