I know this has been discussed before, but...
Who here are using an mpi radiator in their 16V build? How is it working out? Will it be sufficient for track day/daily driving, with a good electric fan, good ducting of the air and extra venting holes in the hood? I've got one 40 mm mpi alloy rad, and one polo mk2 radiator (the one that others have used with success), but i cant make up my mind of which one to use. The polo rad gets in the wheel arch and will interfere with the brace bars. Also, i dont like to have 1 meter of hose extra in the engine bay, which i will have to with the polo rad. The MPI radiator is a better fit, but might not cool the engine enough..? Thanks. |

I think Chris Burns had one in his 1600 Vauxhall conversion. If it wasn’t him i apologise but whoever it was seemed happy with it.

They have been used,
I never felt good about them. Maybe it's normal to over think this?

Thanks for the answers, it seems hard to find some real feedback about how they perform. I might use have to test it myself, and if it doesnt work, i'll just have to add one more radiator from a bike or something else that is small...
Please give mer more input, if anyone has experience! ![]() |
