Default Main relay/fuel pump issues Help before I scrap this mini

Hi all, after long time being absent made a start on the mini again. Had the car running before going into hibernation so thought refresh the fuel and give it a crank.

The car wanted to fire as the fresh fuel was starting to get to it. Then All of the sudden the fuel pump stopped priming....

Thought was the pump but after connecting direct power to the pump it works fine.

Had a search on google found something along the lines of bridging pin 1 and 7 on main relay plug and fuel pump primes and pumps like no bodyís business. However, after putting the relay back pump does not prime... itís just odd that it suddenly died!?! Checked all 15A fuses and they were all fine.

I am lost as to what to do now!? Did my relay die or what has happened? Do I need to buy a new relay?

Just as I was about to get back into finishing this mini I feel like just throwing in the towel.....

Please help.

Check the wire from the ecu to the relay, if there are any splices along the way that have failed then it could be that.
