Default MPI Ignition Switch with MG Loom

I've got MG ZR loom installed in my Mini, shortened to fit inside the car.

I can't work out how I need to wire the Mini (MPI column) ignition switch to work with the MG loom.

Has this been done before?

yes, i've done a few mpi looms. when you say you have a zr loom shortened to fit do you mean just the engine loom or the whole car loom?

Entire loom, just with a few feet chopped out so the two fuse boards were closer together.

Electric windows, air con, mirrors etc has been de-pinned, so its only the MG wiring I want left.

I am left with seven MG ignition barrel wires to be connected to four Mini ignition switch wires.

Anyone able to help with this?

I’m getting close to needing to re-wire the ignition.

I haven't done a complete loom swap so can't really help without spending time looking through the wiring diagrams, I normally use the mini loom and join the k series engine loom into it. I think you will just have to sit down with a copy of the rover rave diagrams and work out each wire
