Default Cable speedo adaptor

Has anyone found a good electronic to cable speedo adaptor? My engine has an electronic VSS but I want to use a cable speedo, I found this but seems a little pricey https://www.speedhut.com/Speedbox.html

Not an exact answer to your query but I'm using a GPS speedo from speedhut, no cables or drive to worry about

I don’t get it!
Is this all about the look?
Mechanical speedos are notoriously inaccurate without being driven by an electronic “speedhut” interface.
Since you already have a honda vss (which is electronic output) then use this:
http://store.centrodyne.com/store/Y0...vider-P72.aspx
with a classic looking digital gauge of your choice.
Accuracy can be less than (1mph) and in most cases will be programmable for wheel /diff combos.

Yeah I wanted to use the original clocks if possible (it's a Metro).

Ok.
I’m sure this has been done before, I remember reading someone (on this site) converted an original speedo face and dial for a digital input, sorry but I can’t find the link!!!! Perhaps someone else will chime in.

There was this thread https://www.16vminiclub.com/showthread.php?t=37880 relating to using the mini speedo, not sure how relevant this is for a metro though?

What motor are you using now Gav? I should have that B18 fired up next week if all things go to plan... famous last words

Looking forward to giving it some welly

Nowt wrong with a k20, I had en ep3 for 7 years. Sold it with 115k on the clock and 248bhp, still felt as tight as it did at 12k and 197bhp! Great engines.

Might be worth contacting caerbont Automotive (Smith's)
They still make the metro dash, all be it a modern version for London taxis. They might have a option for you?
