I don't think they do K series engines for boats lol.

There are some aspects of it that are a little challenging on the eye, but I reckon I can sort most of them out...

No worries, Stella will beat all FWD Minis at all events where she chooses to enter ......... or Paul will eat hay with a donkey.

edit: Congrats to Mrs W on the new motor, I hope Mr W has received an appropriate reward

I've just been out for a proper blast in Chester.........on my own as well shush

All i can say is "fook my stiff with a barge pole" if it was mine i would loose my licence

The revs just keep giving and giving, the noise is superb. Acceleration between 3rd and 4th is galactic.

One thing i did notice was there isn't a massive difference between 4th and 5th 5th is like an overdrive.

oh......and to the dick head in the Nissan 370Z driving up my peach through the 30mph zone though Wetherby...........you didn't expect that pulling onto the A1 did you PMSL

Hi Paul,

Congrats!
Yes 5th gear is over drive and you get top speed in 4th as well. G13B hasn't got the power to take it in 5th gear. You just need 20-30Bhp more to get faster than what you can in 4th.

Rev climbs up very well in Gti engine. You just need better FD from G13A engined gearbox to make your 1st gear usable.

I drove my mates Civic Type-R with B16B engine EK9! It was like first time I drove my Swift. It was very fast.

Enjoy and if you need NA tuning parts, let me know I have Piper cams!

Cheers

Hi Paul,

You can get 3.78:1 ratio from Swift 1.3 GLX.
May be you can buy from a Suzuki specialist breaker?

Cheers

I've been looking for one for three years now - found one last year. but when we rolled it over to remove the tranny. the diff was blown out the bottom,

I can find lots of 1 L and some 1300 twin cam, but no 1300 singles over here in Canada.

Hi, at the risk of sounding cheeky, how much would a final drive be worth to you both. the reason being is I know of about three or four gearboxes in a shed. No adea of condition or type. I could possible get them as a job lot. This is the same shed I Found my 13A FD in. It's about an hours drive away, but I'm willing to go hunting if your struggling

no idea what they are worth to be honest. Maybe if your in the area (without going out of your way) you could see what they actually were and if they are suitable ie the GLX?

Bob if anything suitable turns up from Alex i don't mind stripping the diff out and sending it on to you, unless you want me to ship the entire gearbox?

Lets hope there are 2

Hi Paul / Alex:

Thanks for the very generous offer - I don't know what they are worth either. Over here I would pay $150.00 for a used transmission - I think that is @90 pounds. I will also have to pay @ 44 pounds to ship it by Fed-Ex from Britain to Canada, so I would have to get the gears quite cheaply to make it worthwhile.
I am after the final drive from the GL box 3.52:1 ratio ( crown wheel and output shaft )
Let me know what you think

Thanks
Bob Jonah

How can you tell what final drive you have in there? I have a spare box from a swift that I won't be using. I could strip it down and have a look. Wouldn't be until April though
