Sorry about the beet about bush answer lol

Recently I have mostly been thinking how long it's been since I even took the dust sheet off the car! Sun's shining so I feel the need to get cracking now

Yes, the better weather is making us all feel like getting back to our projects! Even @adamb has gone into my garage to resume work on his pickup today!

Ha ha. Adam comments on page 3 of Phoenix's build. That's 7 years ago! Phoenix has been on the road 6 years. Tell him from me to pull his finger out.

To be fair, he's had some personal issues in that time, and has only just got his enthusiasm back. But he did shift it into my garage just before he stopped work on it... Hence me not making any progress for ages too!

Was passing Minispares the other day so I picked up a few bits including a brake master cylinder to assist laying out the other bits and pieces under the bonnet, checking clearances and so-on. I was going to go for a yellow tag split cylinder, but on speaking to the guys there the single line cylinder has a smaller (0.70" vs 0.75") bore. So, more travel but less effort at the pedal which is important as I will not run a servo. I went for that. What I won't know 'til it's all plumbed in is if I will need to reduce the effort to the rears with a bias valve. If so I fancy a lever type with fixed steps push/pull rather than a rotational adjuster. Anyone got any recommendations? Or further thoughts on this topic - I haven't fitted the cylinder yet so I could swap it in case I've made a bad call!

I think you did right, the mini brake layout whent to the dogs when they tryed to be clever, they over complicated a perfectly simple system,
I've had more problem's than you've had roast dinner,s over the years trying to sort out that bollock,S

I'm using single line myself so I believe in it,
Did you get the larger cooper ,S resivware???
It just holds more fluid for the disk movement,
I wouldn't worry about the rear brake limmeting just yet,

Simplicity is part of it. Neat to pipe it up, and less components to work through in future when trouble shooting. Got the one with plastic pot so I can keep an eye on the fluid level without opening the lid. Has the same bore size as the S type.

Simplicity is the word, people seem to be happy with the newer system( semi new) lol but I was there when it came in and never liked it, I own up as it fear of the unknown!!
Hands up,
After a few years it was a pain if one came in with brake problems,, o fook not again i would say/think
It was a safety mod, and yes it makes clear sense,
But in my opinion it far outweighed the "so called benefits"
Pulling all over the road in verry random ways ect,
Is it this, is it that?? ECT ect,
By now B,L was getting full of glove whereing do-gooders
And added another up grade, that was even Worce!!
Still makes me feel ill
