got a bit more work done over the weekend, spent some time reinforcing the column bracket there is virtually no wobble in it now.
spent some time figuring out where all the corsa loom will be running i think i'm getting there with it now. i persuaded my bro who's a landy mechanic to change the timing belt and water pump for me on saturday. the rear frame has now been repaired and seam welded round the joints. its now painted in red oxide an will be painted black once i go back over there. the final update is pat has made a start on making a mould for the dashboard its now sat waiting for us to go back and start laying the matting an resin. if all goes well we'll be making two dashboards one for mine an one for pats k head project. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() unfortunately i didn't take too many pics this weekend, i'll try an remember to take some next time i'm over. |

right well had a couple of days last week but not been able to upload anything as my virgin net has pretty much been slower than a snail on a go slow.
anyway the rear subby has been painted black an then stone chipped all over new mount bushes an mounts fitted, the arms i re-conned before xmas are now fitted still a lot more to do to get the arms finished as im trying to decide clean up what brake components i have or go buy fully built back plate units. i have trial fitted the wheels im putting on an i definately need spacered drums i put non spacered on as i couldn't find my spacered ones at the time an the wheel fouls the inner arch whilst i don't have the damper fitted, so bit of pushing out of the wheel need. although the 13x6 does look good under just the body lip with no arch. ![]() ![]() ![]() bit more of a movement with the dash pat after fixing up the might swift took his hand to doing some fibre glass for me, we are waiting on it to dry an sometime in the next week or two we will be cutting it to fit we hope. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and because i remembered i took some pics of the reinforced column bracket an dash rail ![]() ![]() right off out to the shed to find the spacered drums i have before i go bingley next weekend. |

well after a bit of inspiration from philsters pedal box post this is what i came up with last night.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() just got to edit the pedals now, which will be done once i've found the clutch pedal i modded before xmas. i'm sticking with the cable clutch but i've left the hole in so i can swap to hydro at a later date if i wanted. hopefully i can figure the correct angle an length of spacer needed for the clutch on saturday or geoff will get his brain picked on sunday for ideas. lol heres a bit of an update of the dash aswell its pretty much dried now going to leave it a bit longer to cure further. ![]() ![]() |

that would be ace, i was wondering about how to do the wipers as i originally wanted to mod the corsa wiper unit but due to the power box i just haven't the room.
roughly where did you run the loom through the bulkhead? as its in 3 sections on mine, the engine to ecu part, rest of the engine and then the lighting circuit. |

all of my cables run thru the dash, the wipers go thru exactly where the mini ones go but the relay is just behind the corsa dash, the lights go don the left of the frame to a plug so i can disconnect the front end when i want, ecu sits to the left of the pedal box as does the fuses, i have modifies the loom where required. As you look in the bay you cant see much wiring, do you want some pics

thats roughly where i was planning on mine. thanks.
if you could at some point give me a wiring colours or how you have done it, for the wipers that would be great. how do you plan on mounting the alternator i know the engines are different but the bottom end should be similar an it looks like my brace bars will be in a similar position to yours. |

have you got the delay relay
![]() ![]() all my relays are hidden behind the glove box, i kow that there is need for another relay as well to get the park to work, if you want to send me your wiper motor and the timer relay i can wire it all up for you Last edited by tiny2403; 27-01-2012 at 03:09 PM. |
