Here's what I've been playing with lately
![]() Managed about 30 miles with several stops for overheating, removing thermostat, topping up water etc before giving up n getting it brought home ![]() Just about fits in the garage with the Mini ![]() In the process of sorting the rust around the front end then the engine can go in. Going from 1100 to high compression 1640. Nothing to lairy for now ![]() ![]() ![]() Bought some alloys but they need a bit of work so had a go at polishing. Pleased how my first effort came out. Needless to say they're not staying yellow! That's all for now... Last edited by NudgerSS; 10-07-2017 at 09:44 PM. |

Just bought an alloy polishing kit off eBay that fits on the drill. I used emery cloth to get the worst of it off, wet n dry and then the kit. I got 2 compounds and 3 polishing wheels

Had a busy week on it. Swapped the square headlights for round...
![]() Fitted the seats. They're Cobra buckets covered in leather and blue suede... ![]() And then this morning had a wrestling match getting the engine in... ![]() That's all for now... Last edited by NudgerSS; 10-07-2017 at 09:41 PM. |

Got a set of zx6r bike carbs with manifold to go on. Need to sort some vacuum fittings for it for the dizzy though...
![]() Fitted the alloy rad and Davies Craig fan. Also found out why it had overheated on the way home. The water pump was chocka full of limescale so not much pumping going on... ![]() Carbs just squeeze in but not much room for filters. Also sorted the wiring for the fan and for the bike fuel pump which I've mounted on the rear chassis rail... ![]() Took the fuel tank out as there was some rot in the well... ![]() Welded and kurust applied... ![]() Seam sealed and painted. I've since sprayed loads of Dinitrol in here to keep it safe... ![]() Wired the headlights in too and fitted some smd sidelights. They're almost as bright as the headlights! ![]() That's all for now I think... Last edited by NudgerSS; 10-07-2017 at 09:42 PM. |

Well since i last posted I’ve done a few bits to the car. First off was to move the master cylinder into the cabin. Used the Wilwood 1” master cylinder that i originally had on the Mini
![]() This was so i had plenty of room to fit these twin 40 Dellortos ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Excellent work
![]() How low is that escort front end? Might just be the picture but its looks like you'll be scraping the roadkill up ![]()

It makes the Mini look like a monster truck on that pic. It is pretty low to be fair. Got coilovers on the front and 2” lowering blocks on the rear. Spoiler makes it look lower I think .
