Default Swap for PG1 gearbox?

I've got a PG1 gearbox I collected when I got my car from Richie. I want to build a RG65 with a higher top gear and rather than taking mine out building it etc I wanted to build one up and then do a straight swap.

So does anyone (local ish, I'm in Northumberland) have a RG65 gearbox they want to swap for a PG1?

I could be interested in this actually, would need it posted though if that's possible? I have a r65 box too, but I need to double check it

I don't know what the shipping would be but happy to look into it for you in the new year. I'm looking for an R65u as it will be going into a vvc.

What code is it mate? If I get a chance too tonight ill go out and have a look at the gearbox. Although I don't think it'll be a r65u.
Edit: don't suppose you've got the Gear linkage etc for the Pg1 box have you?

It would really help if you filled in the location on your profile when commenting on these posts. Just the nearest town is helpful.

Edit your details in the "User CP" section on top left.

Sorry but yours was already on it mate. Wasn't aimed at you!

Cheers Ppinno. Spotted you've now done it.

Sorry if this is likely to put people on here off this gearbox but my opinion is it's too low geared for use in a road going Mini. I am currently using this box in mine. It's great for track use but when on the motorway is a bit annoying at 3800rpm at 70mph on 13" wheels. It would be worse on 12's or 10's.

As stated, I have 3 of these. They are a good upgrade for anyone who has the non VVC engine in either a ZR, ZS or TF. Maybe try putting on eBay or similar?

Yep all done. Didn't realise it was aimed at me to begin with!

I'm after a c6 pg1 as from what I can see they're better geared for 10s. My box is just r65 rather than the r65u unfortunately.

Need to clear some space in the garage, does any one want a PG1 box?
