First new alternator in dec. 16,2nd in April 17 and now third.They just stopped charging it has to be a problem caused by the car anybody have an idea what may be causing this.I don't think supplier will give me a fourth in feb 18.

Could be getting cooked or getting too much weather, I’d use a heat shield to protect it from both the heat and weather.

Shit alternator brand? What's the rest of your car like electrically still on mems or something else?
I used to go through alternators when I daily drove my mini but usually they would start screaming first as the bearings got chewed up from water and grime flung up from the tyre.

Are you using it in the correct direction of rotation? Some can be used either direction with their cooling fan others can't or may need cooling fan of different direction. Just guessing.

Evolution the car is still on mems 3. Birdman the alternator is in the standard position. The original one with the engine was the Bosch and must have lasted 16 yrs,these are from Europarts and according to the box are made for europarts.Evolution may be right ,but lasting just the same amount of time.I think I need to carry a spare.

As its on mems just double check the high current wiring carefully for chaffage and when the cars running lights on etc measure the voltage between the alternator + bolt and the + on the battery there should be less than 0.2v drop with lights/wipers/rear screen on . if the drop is greater then use the meter to narrow down on what wire run or joint is failing.
I would also go on ebay and get a clean looking used alternator and try that too... Have had a lot of bad luck with reman alternators lately.

Well after receiving my third alternator (the wrong one) I now have the correct one and is charging at 15 volts with revs above 3500 as was my other two.Is this right or too high?

Too high. I have a digital reading on my dash. Highest it gets is 14.2v. It only reads that for a couple of minutes then drops under 14v for rest of the day.
