That front end fits great - looks a good job.

Im pretty sure its been mentioned before on here...

But last year there were a few aero articles in mini world and mini mag, by vizard and carbon weezel (i think) They both said that drilling holes in the A pannels like that would reduce front end lift and drag.
Its a little hard to explain
Ill explain some more when i get back from work.

Basically a lot of the air entering the wheel wells (between the inner wing and outer wing/A panel) gets trapped behind the A panel creating drag etc.

Well with the 998 it was pretty skittish at 85mph, and that was with fully adjustable suspension which had been professionally setup. I hope it does make a difference, but it looks good anyway

Got a bit carried away today.

Set out to get it in paint, so i put a coat on the front end.
Whilst waiting for that to dry, i thought i would see the damage behind the shock mounts (was planning on repairing these when i changed the subframe)
Found this:

Which isnt bad, poked it with a screwdriver, and not much happend.

Then the passenger side:

Damn right, shiny metal

I then fitted my new shock mounts, from mini spares.

Found i had a few runs on the front end, so sanded them out, and put a bit more paint on (btw, im useing holts paint cans which are bananase)

Figured id fit the brakes...

*Drool!*

Pretty discrete

Kam, wanna come and help me wash this car?

Got the windscreen in aswell, only took 15minute which is nice (im not mentioning the fact that was the 2nd attempt)

Nope.

And before anyone asks (looking at you tom) its not a sex toy.

Got grinder sparks, you can see them there on the bench, just need to be warmed back up
