Saw this on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122825418141?ul_noapp=true
Made £450, complete engine - looks like it's done a lot more than 40K miles. But just shows what these are going for now - few years ago you could buy a complete car for £200. |

I struggled to find parts for my G13B when I had one, I’m not surprised by this at all.

when you think about it this is bound to happen to all of the common conversion engines? until we all move on to newer engines etc..
Just look at the price of a good usable vvc k series cylinder head these days! |

G13B does it’s job very well in a Mini too, there’s a couple of very impressive cars on here running big power from those little engines.

Two complete engines and three for rebuild, four gearboxes. The gearboxes are not of much use at the moment, because working on 4WD

Having just recently come back into minis after 5 years; its incredible to see how the Honda B series and even the Vauxhall Redtops have gone up in price. As well as becoming harder to find.
Most of them are over 20 years old now and the conversions have become a lot more popular than they were 5 years ago. I can see the frames that are available from the likes of Allspeed and Watsons soon be updated to reflect readily available modern engines.

Problem with those more modern engine is what I understand, getting them to work. Electronically they are much more complicated than the older engines. I think that is why you hardly see engines made after say 2000 in conversions.
