Looking really nice!
Are you using your own subframe or bought? What ignition system are you going for? Have you sorted the jets for the carbs? Doing a x16xe at the moment ![]() |

Thanks I'm chuffed with it so far. I've used an allspeed subframe its very well made and I'd say well worth the money. I sent the zx9r carbs and the lower half of my inlet manifold to bogg brothers and they sent back fully cleaned and re jetted carbs on one of there custom manifolds that is a work of art by the way, not just four pipes welded to a flange it is ported to match the triangular inlet ports (x16xel head supposed to flow better according to sbd)on the head side and round on the carb side. And they supplied me with a canems ecu, loom and software to programme. They also loaded on a map to get me started and I'm gonna take it there for rolling road set up soon. Good luck with your build.

Hi sorry for the late reply I've been busy having fun in the mini haha. The manifold is a off the shelf corsa 1.8 sxi de-cat manifold that I bought second hand off ebay. The flange was totally the wrong shape so I cut it off and bent and shaped the pipes to fit the new laser cut flange that I also bought from ebay (£30). Then my mate welded the new flange for me. I believe that the headers aren't of optimal length for maximum power for this engine however I was restricted for space between the block and the front panel however It works great it made 150bhp on the rollers and revs freely to my set limit at 7200rpm.

Cheers, it is great fun to drive and still feels like a propper mini I'm gonna turbo it now! I don't know if anyone else has done a x16xe turbo blowing through bike carbs. I fancy the challenge
