yes the dissy is very easy to fit.

the exhaust cam on a dispak engine has a ball bearing in the end like so.....

This i think is the only difference in the engines (ignitiony wise) the ball gets in the way of the dowel on the dizzy. you can ever swap the exhaust cam to a non-dispak or chop 10mm off the end on the dowel. which is what i have done.

Just mount the coil and module up, bit of wire and you are done.
It will take you less than a hour to do it, but like me you snap the only saw blade you have!!!!

In between down pours i got on with things today.

The wiring module mounted under the dash.

Made progress with wiring. most the ignition side is almost done.

Mounted the dash and started the wiring on that. the shift light was massive, so cut it up and made that shorter little stumpy.

....and how they look!

Made a start on the switch panel. its not trimmed to size yet, hence why its so square looking. Also attached the bright 6 on to it.

close up of the bright 6

Quick picture of some of the wiring, this is an early one there is alot more wires hanging around.

Also sorted myself a set of 10s off a mate of mine, they do need some work on them and new tyres.

Skye
I making my own loom from scratch using the wiring module. it comes with a nice simple wiring diagram. only original wires are the ones in the stalk controls and ignition switch which i just soldered new wires to.

1wheelking
glad to be of some help. think i'm using minispares arms if that makes any difference.
i would love a bogg brothers but cant argue with 18 for a meter of silicone hose and a bit of diy!!

Sorted out my rusty battery box today by getting rid of it. Used a universal battery clamp from halfords and some alloy angle to locate the battery.

I realized i might have gone OTT on the battery wire. 300amp cable and the battery only puts out 250 cranking. oh well, if i ever want a sound system i'll already have the cable for it.

Wired in the battery today and sorted the fuel line. Got a cheap regulator at the front which should hopefully be alright. Using a Facet pump.

....how the car looks, which doesn't look like much has happened to it.

Not been on for a while. Lack of motivation and funds.

....anyway did the breather mod to the rocker cover.

Decided to put a old battery in the car that has some power left in it.
Got really excited when the dash lite up. Hearing the horn working is all the motivation i needed. Poo my self when the fuel pump kicked in, forgot about it!!

It says the water temp is 40 degrees????
Ordered HT leads and some adapters for the temp senders - getting ready to actually start the engine, hoping next week.

Had a go at making the throttle work. First attempt only gave about a 2cm of travel. second go is better but not enough return spring.
