nice one Oz

I think the Mini did a bit better than those poorly looking Chargers!

If only I'd played my dixie horns as the car rolled ................ ah well, hopefully I won't get the chance again.

Wire them up to a tilt switch so it happens automatically at anything over 45 degrees

With the help of my Dad (and a cut down acro), the General's repairs are progressing well.

Upper rear pushed out & started re-shape. (Where's that ding gone )

Drivers side roof pushed out & partial re-shape. (Hammer tastic )

Passenger front corner was so bad we cut it out.

But cos we couldn't find a sensible donor, good old Bob re-shaped the mangled one. He's a bit clever my Dad.

Still plenty to do though ..............

Excellent work Andy and Dad, the damage has come out very well. Have you cut out the seat back to do it or was it removed before?

Keep up the good work

The seat back was already cut away & I was using a second donor seat back bolted in to the shell.

Don't think my Mother would be pleased if he had to run around after two of us I know he'd enjoy himself though.

Cool - looks like you're getting stuck in and making good progress already When you're finished I bring my estate up - should be a breeze in comparison and only take a day or two

Cheers guys,

I'm taking a few days off work next week so am aiming to have the shell all straight, roof welded back in, plus tubbed arches & few other bits. Bob (Dad) is hopefully back from a wee holiday so we should make some good progress.

Here's a few bits which I did over the weekend.

Rear of the car can now ride 3 inches off the foor, no more boshing the arches. Had some spare inner arches & they fitted without modification ....... kinda.

Off to buy some steelwork tomorrow so I can rebuild the boot area and make a few other subtle adjustments.

I like the rear beam but I dont think that wood is strong enough for racing
