Default Converting from Hydraulic to cable clutch

Has anybody ever carried a conversion from a standard hydraulic set up to a cable set up using the existing mini pedal box set up, its due to fitting a bike engine, I have an hydraulic conversion on the engine but the feeling is horrible, i drove a cross kart at the weekend with a cable clutch and itís a much nicer feeling.

A large number of the micra engine conversions use a cable clutch, nothing too complicated about it, weld a hook on the front side of the mini pedal pivot, you'll need to calculate how much travel the clutch needs and change the length of the arm you weld on to suit, not as simple as using the same length as the mini pedal might have a different angle range it works over.

Yes a lot of Rover guys using the standard clutch cable.

A spreader plate welded to the bulkhead with a hole correct for the cable to go through. I measured the travel required on mine before removing it. It needed 50mm travel. I used a cardboard template to design a hook. Then made it in steel and held in place with mole grips to test before finally welding it onto the side of the pedal. I didn't like the idea of welding it onto the top of the pedal as it has a brass bush which could distort.
