bottom arms,, right I am thinking there go have to be adjustable
will modifify pins to suit

or am I better getting rose jointed bottom arms and just weld in a plate and drill a hole, these will need tapered spacers but just wondered how many guys use these in there road cars and what does mot tester think?

I think the second will be an easy option if good and legal

also thoughts on rose jointed tie bars?

It's personel choice really they need to be adjustable for a start both bottom arms and tiebars but how they mount weather it be standard type or rose jointed I don't think makes any difference for a road car

If they're rubber mounted there's a certain amount of flex, where as with rose joints they're a solid mount, so rose jointed would be best for a track car.

As above, for a road car I don't think you'll notice the difference. I'll be using the rubber based mounts in mine.

rose joints are for race cars - all the shock and vibration will be transferred into the car and a large pot-hole could damage them. I believe they also wear out pretty fast on the road

Umm looks like I might just go for adjustsble bottom arms with Bush's.

Vibration doesn't worry me as subframe is solid mounts already but don't like idea of them not lasting and having to change them n reset geometry of suspension every time, I just thought of rose jointed arms to save modding the bottom pins.
Just had a raid of the goodies bin and found some new orange bushes for bottom arms so will fit them and standard arms to get the project moving again

Not sure that using the land rover cotton reel mount like that will last very long, but you never know. At least you have the angle built into the mount. I guess it depends upon all the other mounts and how they stop the engine and box from moving around.

be careful or i might just do that and end up drinking your stash dry .
life in general, lows and highs and trying to run a steady business.also there is now a mrs minion lol which took all my spending money and beer tokens. my mum passed away sadly so had to clear out,and all junk ( amazing what you collect and keep ) from spare garage got piled in current one on and around the mini to the point i forgot i had one......so my 3 month deadline is looking more like maybe 3 years and am sure it might be on the road but not finished .
seems you guys have all been doing a fine job to make up for lack of mine

frost it,,,,wheres the cider?
