Default Not another 16v build...

Hi folks,

I've been thinking about building a 16v mini for a while now. I bought our mini around 4 years ago it was a basket case and not easy to rebuild at all.
When we first got it, It was just a bare shell (full of rot) and some boxes of "spares" that was also total rubbish. So after a 10 month rebuild with 2 paint jobs it was finished.
We (myself and my son) always wanted more power and reliable source of it (Currently it was running a 998 motor with a 12g940 head and 286 cam!) So I started looking a going down the turbo/supercharger route but costs are very high and the design of the a series motor (in my opinion) has very high power train losses.

So after a Google search one evening I stumbled across this forum (long time reader but short time member) luckily for me my wife but unlucky for her she had a polo gti 6n2.... after a lot of measuring, taking photos, reading up about the polo, looking at 16v mini photos on Google images.... lead me to this point.

And with a small amount of bulkhead mods....

Any comments and tips/tricks will be much appreciated. ☺
