I think if you have a Vauxhall you should get extra points as they are so slow

In all seriousness though, it's a good idea to do the championship, if you need a hand with anything Mark let me know.....Andy'll tell you with absolutely no provocation that I just sit on my peach all day while he slaves away at work all hours :roll eyes:

I'm looking forward to next season and I'm not even driving

i thought it would be a good idea aswell tessa, not just for those racing but also for other members to come along to and join in the banter. we can sort out what needs to be done closer to the events and who wants to help with what.

The only thing im worried about is people saying they will and then dont, but im sure everyone who has said they will are serious

Mark,

If we don't allow a bike engined Mini cos he might be too fast, then we are in a slipery road to a setting up 'classes'.

We could declare a HP/Ton for each car and then use these to develop a Handicapping system, thus driver skill is more an issue.

Only a thought.......

good idea andy, this would also cater for the lesser powered suzuki and k series cars and also the vauxhall powered cars that are all stripped out with fibreglass doors etc, not mentioning any names of course

That sounds like quite a good idea so long as we keep it simple and it doesn't make the scoring too complicated.

I aren't expecting to win anything really, I'm just doing it for a bit of fun and to try and improve my own times.

Smurfy, having watched you at Mallory Park (on youtube), you should be pretty competitive, as you look to have the car handling really nicely.

As proved by a couple of the a-series Minis when we watched Mark & Allan at Teesside Autodrome, handling can out-do HP.
