New project, A bit bigger than a mini, but just as rusty, At least the floors are good in these, Needs a new grp canopy for the pop top, A new interior and lots of welding, I will put some pictures up when i get cracking,

Yes, been looking on 80-90 club and brickyard, I bought this one because it hasn't been messed with and the price was right, 30 year old only had door steps / seatbelt mounts and a small patch on one sill, Puts my transit to shame underneath, Love your westy by the way Mat,

Not bought it to be a never ending project, but they all start that way i suppose, It won't be a show bus, The plan is to strip it out and weld it up, so i can get it tested, The roof and interior will be work in progress, I have a plan for a subaru engine conversion later as well, but the vw will do for now, Bingly hall for mini parts this month and back again in feb for vw parts,

Ive seen it......it really is that rusty in the flesh or metal or rust which ever way you want to look at it. having seen all Steve's work on mini's you just know this will be a great bit of kit when done.

Started rust removal this morning, Not too bad, I have seen a lot worse, I will be replacing the seam returns on the panel joints as it's the only way to get rid of the rust for good, It is easier on this one as it is a twin slider, so it only has one vertical seam on the side panels,
