Impressive, and I'm sure Lotus fans will love you for that

Do you know what, I have only seen pics of the engine and engine bay and heard him say it's just a race car with kit on, never even realised it was a Lotus! Well spotted.

I have mentioned this before to you, my concern about making those numbers on standard pistons will be how reliable it ends up being, I hope Iím wrong.
The rods wonít necessarily be an issue with a standard rev limit, but I just canít see it being massively reliable in the long term, only time will tell.

And I have the exact same engine parts sat in my spare bedroom minus his truck turbo

Good luck with it whatever you do, I'm sure you will go your own way about it whatever happens

Yes Shaun. That's correct. He's going to turn the boost up after the next race and is going for over 600bhp.

that's if it doesn't catch fire or crash, I would be wary of what this guy says...just take it with a pinch of salt - he has previous form

Aye, lots of controversy surrounding him for some reason.

Glad to see you're back on with this Andrew.

Claims of 530 hp !! No wander ! It's normal to exsajuraght by a bit but claiming over double of what's possible will raise

I don't know, with enough boost anything is possible. It's just about getting enough air through the motor being it through boost or displacement and rpm.

There a is 2 liter evo down the road from me with 900hp, turbo like a dinner plate.

Lol, getting the air in to it is not a problem, its getting it compressed and ignited without blowing the head off the block or cracking the bores/liners that's the issue

Hard to some up but your Evo man claims to be at 900?
That's a crock of cRap to,
I'm not blaming you but F1 don't even brake the 1000 hp
Yard stick and they are light years ahead!!!
Sorry Andrew that scorpion thred has diverted but you did mention the 530 claim,
I could have taken 253 hp as a believable acheavment but 530 hp NO WAY!!!

Here a vid of a Honda b16A with 560bhp at the wheels! It doesn't mean you couldn't do it with a 1.8 rover and a lot of cash to spend.
