Off topic slightly but.....

I've got to the stage now where I have to spend a shti load of cash.

I got cold feet the other day and talked of calling the whole conversion off but after careful thought have decided to truck on.

Can't believe I need to fork out at least 3 or 4 grand on the engine to get the power up.

I always wanted to go Honda power but I prefer roundnoses (like clubbies too but mine's a roundnose) and the 1600 Vx really does fit under the standard round nose.

Default finally - small update

Finally found some time to work on the mini. Made a bigger hole in the chassis for the inlet manifold... seems to fit now

Now I have a question: I think I need better engine mounts as they seem to be sagging. If you look carefully at the pictures, you can see that the engine mount is sitting on the bolts that hold the mount to the frame... can't be right?

Anyone can suggest good engine mounts to me? I don't need the rear mount and most kits seem to include that one

Cheers!

Have you got the rear gearbox mount bolted and set properly? That should rock it back so your mounts are level.
Good progress.
