Denis, that's how it came off the crate! I had to put the mazda crank pulley on it and got it as close as i could, had to use the Mazda crank sensor too so realigned it to the main pulley. should be ok, will need a remap anyway since its a larger capacity now then another remap when the blower is fitted after running it in.

Finally got the mx5 started, done first oil change just a few other odds and sods to do before it's on the drive and the mini gets some time.

result,,
I hope the sound is I phone zoom auto compression coz it sounds like something camy
is clacking, but theres been lots of films lately that sound that way and sound normal too the humain ears,

The sound was the power steering pump, I'd filled the reservoir but it hadn't worked round to the pump, once I filled it to the correct level the noise stopped, its running very quietly

The MX5 exhaust midpipe broke at 50miles into the run in process so I thought I'd weld that up and change the backbox while it was out so made this...









This is 3" twin box, the midpipe is still 60mm and won't support the power levels I want to achieve, i plan to make a jig of that after i've fixed it then make a 3" midpipe myself. I refuse to pay around 600 for a midpipe on the NC when you can buy a 3" one in stainless for the NA/NB for well under 400!

Just got 1000 miles on the new motor and had it calibrated, this thing is a tool lol not sure if the mini is going to see any action for a while if ever!!
