Default FAQ - Useful Thread Sizes

Usefull Thread Sizes:

Mini Stuff :
Front mounts for the rear subframe : 5/16 unf
Track rod end on steering rack : 1/2" unf
TowerBolt : 3/4" unf
Wheelstud : 3/8" unf
Bolts for the steering box plate on the rack, not the mountings : M8 x 1.25
the pinch bolt for bottom of steering column onto rack splines is 1/4" UNF 1 3/8" long, with a 1/2" plain shank on it (to fit the groove in the splines)

AMT arm rod ends 1/2" bore x 1/2" unf

Metro Stuff (K-Series):

Rover Metro wheel stud :M12 x 1.5
K series head bolts are E12 size
Cam Cover Bolts are M6 35mm
Metro Stuff (A-series):

Thread size of metro 4-pot bleed nipples? : M7 1mm pitch

Hydraulic/brakes etc

Vauxhall oil pressure outlets at back of block / oil pump = m14x1.5
Most normal oil pressure gauges/adaptor = 1/8 npt

Remote master cylinders
Inlet is usually 7/16 20????
Outlets are 3/8 24

Vauxhall hydro clutch pipe = m10x1.5?
Vtec clutch =
