Default Fuel pump wiring

could anyone tell me the correct way to wire a MPi petrol tank pump. ive got one in a b16a2 mini.

im sure im going to need some sort of relay, switch?

ive no idea! can someone help! thanks!

Link the relay with the wire from the ecu to trigger and power from the batt through the relay to the pump. I think that'll about do it. Not checked the links above but if there's a major let me know

THANKS gm, but i need simple instructions, what relay? what wire from ecu? how do i wire relay? where do i get one from, thanks!

here is a very very crude paint drawing to try and explain what I'm thinking about doing. The relay is just a standard switch relay that you can get from anywhere. They use them on the fog light wiring kits in halfords but get them on their own for cheaper. Not sure on your colour wire from the ecu as you'll need a pinout drawing of your specific one but I think mine is green/yellow. This runs to your relay as to make it switch and then the power from the pump goes from batt to relay to pump. Hope this helps.
