I believe they are custom made for Robs driveshafts and to Robs specs.

Hope that helps.

Allegro ones will fit mini driveshafts and are bigger than minis ones.

Hope that helps.

Chow for now, off to tend the sheep in the vtec

I don't know the Allspeed CVs, but I've made driveshafts for Mini and Allegro CVs

The allegro 1750 ones are very similar to Mini ones..
they fit right into the hub..
but they are slightly bigger in diameter overall, which makes fitting the rubber boot a little more difficult.
They have a bigger cage and balls etc.
and they have a considerably bigger spline in the centre, meaning you can fit bigger diameter shafts...

so

two advantages over mini CVs, stronger CV and bigger driveshafts

however,

On a suzuki swift engined car, with a swift gearbox, the advantage of bigger splines is lost because the inner pot joints on the swift will only take similar diameter driveshafts to a mini.

Vauxhall gearboxes on the other hand, have bigger diameter splines on the inner pot joints, which means the driveshafts can be bigger in diameter and therefore, a lot stronger.. (I would guess at least twice as strong)

hope this helps

Thanks for posting that info Spiyda. Looks like I will use my vauxhall shafts with the Mini CV's until something snaps and then look at the Allegro CV's and have new shafts made.

The CV joints is for a new race mini
With a allspeed frame and a 1,6 vtec
goes like hell....

Thank for your answers
Seem like it's best to buy a spare
Uprated cv from allspeed so it will fit right On.

i would say no , as i have not heard of anyone fitting a std mini joint into a mgf hub.

you might as well stick with the mgf CV if you are running mgf hubs
