Whose to say the mods weren't done to the rolling road instead of the car?

I'm not convinced its a 1963, all the trim suggests its a late 70's early 80's vintage and Shaun said on the other post that a 64 should have a smooth roof so this should too but it's got the fluted roof. Also not sure someone would be willing chop up a 1963 van to do a vtec conversion.

Its says its a K series VVC from a Lotus Elise so must be worth $200000

The Elise never came with a vvc engine right?

It did, was the 111S and had a 143 MEMS2 VVC

The feds will believe anything!

Advertise it as a 1958 model and they'd believe you!

Would hate to see this happen to it if the car isn't what the log book says

Yup, in fact the original 111s was straight out of the MGF. The later mk2 elise had a tuned 160bhp version which was more economical by far too my old mk2 111s did near 50mpg on a run
