Default new member from northern Ireland

Hi all new member here from northern Ireland. Currently have an 86 city e auto in bits in the garage and I'm looking at an engine conversion. I'll probably be using an allspeed frame for either a vtec or micra conversion. Any questions about me ask away ill try and answer them

Theres a world of difference between a Micra and a Vtec conversion, what exactly are you looking for as its an expensive mistake to make building a car with the wrong engine for what you want

For a first car I would stick the micra engine. Or another option could be a 1.4 k series - then after she has gained driving experience swap to the 1.8 for more power.

As somebody already highlighted, this is pretty risky. A near standard 1275 a series mini is still a bloody fast first car.

Even a 1.4 k series mini will batter a modern hot hatch. Possibly a 1 litre micra engine conversion if you're dead against a series, but I had a mini as my first car (now 23, still driving it) and wouldn't recommend it.

I'm probably leaning towards a 1.3 micra conversion
