I'm the same as Kam - I had my exhaust made by Haywood & Scott to the exact header lengths prescribed by SBD and it a) looks the muts nuts b) fits properly in the Allspeed frame c) should help realise the full potential of the tuning mods.

wow

So H&S do a 1.6 16v Vaux manifold as well now for standrd front fit ? This is the main reason I sold the 16v 1.6 frame and engine I had, I couldn't get a decent manifold for standard length fitment. I wanted to fit it in my Clubby Estate but fit round nose panels and the wooden rear to make a 16v woody I'm off to cry now

Perhaps this could be split off from the Honda posts and stickied in the Vauxhall section so people will know where to go in the future ?

Oz,

Not too sure folk would be willing to fork out what I did for my exhaust.

Most would make due with a home made job or modified of-the-shelf item but using the 1600 I wanted to try keep the tuning gains rather than throwing them down the plug hole with a less than ideal exhaust solution. Plus and more to the point, I ain't clever enough to do it myself and I'm not in the UK at the moment.

Using a 2litre red top with TBs you can get well over 200bhp and afford to lose a few ponies - I can't with a 1600 squashed under a standard round nose.

I have to say Ian seems a nice chap and the H&S service was second to none.

The sump also had to be cut to fit the pipes over each other to get the correct header lengths since I wanted the pipes tight to the block.

Even with all the effort and money I now have the radiator to think about. Worried how to get that to fit since there still isn't much room and certainly not enough to mount across the front.

Anyways, I didn't mean to hijack the Honda section I just thought I'd demonstrate H&S' talents and services.

Cheers,

Daz

Oz, Hayward and Scott are a custom exhaust manufacturers, its only in the Honda section as Ian has a jig there for a honda b series to fit in an allspeed standard nose as Matt had them make him a few "back in the day" luckily for us Ian kept the jig

You take any plans to them (as Daz done above) and they will build it, that's no different to any other exhaust place, its just the jig bit helps us massively (honda) as we know it fits so its just a phonecall to order, no need for trailors and all that hassle and nonsense. And as mentioned this thing flows well...
