Default B16a2 hunting for idle . Please help

Hey folks , I have finally got my mini up and running after 6 long years of blood sweat and tears . So today was the day I finally turned her over . She started no problem . I was over the moon. Finally she is alive . But after about 30 seconds the revs shot up to 3k and back down to 1500 rpm . I turned her off , checked all my plugs where in the right place and tried again . Still hunting . Any ideas folks . It's doing my head in .

Air leaks or coolant sensor short or unplugged can cause hunting, even seen one without coolant do it.

Not your typical heated leather seated track day car but it does have heated leather!
