This is a typical exsample of why comunications through typing just dontwork!
Not even close
Just calm yourselfs down
Neather you paul or bill realy want to give up on this
On reading darrens script to jim i saw some points to be true,
It will seem to darren that he dont get much thanks for eforts made,
I for one own up to not showing thanks, largly down to them not realy standing still in one place for long and allso them seeming to not want to chat about much, but i asumed i payed mycash for track time ,
Im sure thers been times 40 have atended but not that ive seen more than 25 on recent vissits,
Ive said it before it is about cash raising,
So its finnished is it ? Bill ?

Yes darren works hard to organise the event. But he needs to stop being a bloody martyr and recruit people to help if he in fact actually wants the series and events to keep going. He just purely can't be peachd anymore.

He had a personal dig at my car not being track worthy and made out they were doing me a favour letting me run, when I would prefer to be in mine over most that take part as a lot don't even have roll cages!

I very much doubt I will be attending anymore unless something changes.

They are only shooting themselves in the foot as the event won't be there for their precious RAF boys without associate members.

Aw .......... look what happens when i go away for the weekend, Barky Heath got all broken.

I've only skim read this thread & have missed all the RAFMSA forum stuff so maybe I've missed some naughty chat, but oddly instead of moaning I feel the need to thank the RAFMSA (especially Bill & the guys on the ground) as the events at Barky Heath have allowed me to play racing cars even while £times have been hard.

Sometimes in life good things need to come to an end & IMHO it's not particularly constructive to get too uptight about the 'details' as normally this wont achieve anything.

It's a bit sad that the RAF boys are using some daft excuses when talking about the closure and it's especially bizarre that they messed with their thread content, but it's their airfield and they can do what they want with it.

Best we all start saving our pennies so we can race at some MSA events next year as these used to be lots of (expensive) fun back in the day ..... and only 2 X the price of Barky!

Maybe good old Bill will come and play racing cars at MSA events?

Dont get me wrong Andy, I am very very grateful of the RAF events....

It has given me a very cheap option to start racing in this sort of event with lots of track time.

I am frustrated that it must come to an end due to lack of RAF attendance. There is lots of potential within a vary large captive audience at the RAF it just seems like Darren is the only one that can be bothered to do anything about it, but as us to be expected his enthusiasm has dwindled over the years....

I took exception to a comment he made and I feel I am well within my rights to do so. Others (admin) on the RAFMSA forum didnt, and made it clear my opinion was not important. Darren did message me direct with the lengthy response above, most of it is very acceptable and fair. The last comments however are not. He does need to realize it is a 2 way street, we need them so we can race there, they need us otherwise there is no event........ just a bunch of blokes organizing no one....

Bill, I'm very interested in doing some proper circuit racing. I'm event going to look at a new car for it this week. Give me a shout if you are looking at anything in particular.
