Default front seats on adjustable rails

getting through the final stages of my mock up before i strip for panel and paint. im abit stuck on what seats/assembly to use. down in nz we have quite abit of japanese cars to source parts.
i would like seats with rails as i would like access to the rear seat. many of us down here have used early 1990s honda prelude setup which worked well but i figure must be some nice seats that come from a midget car similar to the mini.
thoughts please

i think the later mini seats with headrests are a good thing, they fit well ect,
midget seats are worse or if not worce the same as mini but bolt down solid, hondas seem popular,

I have Honda Prelude seats in mine. So does Keith. They use 4 bolts and a support tube on the back mounts. I have an up turned bolt welded to the cross member for front mount.

My son rolled a Mini 2 years ago using this setup and claims this helped him walk away with only a bump on the elbow. The car had been bought only a month earlier with bucket seats that tipped and were not fastened at the rear.

I can highly recommend using Honda Prelude seats.

I can also recommend the prelude seats, they are very comfy and supportive. I made brackets that bolt to the original mounting points with a bolt welded to the top part of the bracket to mount the seat to and a frame for the back to bolt down to the floor.

i like the idea of late model mini seats but those are abit uncommon down here, plently pre 1980 minis.
I will have to make enquiries into those.
My other mini has early 90s honda prelude seats and i have to say it doesnt look like you have to do a lot of work to fit them and they not to large for the interior and they are comfortable.

Ideally I'd like some seats that slide forward when the back rest is tilted forward to ease access. I had a set of these in an old 2 door Daihatsu Mira which ere great for getting in and out of the back seats

I have welded in another crossmember, then installed saab 900 seats.
They fit, but no room for centre console if you want one
