Default Quick lap of the handling circuit at TOTB 2017

A 360 view on my 2nd lap of the TOTB 2017 Sprint Circuit.

The new transmission mapping worked really well holding gears correctly, no downshifting when applying throttle and it was so much better with the power steering, the big front brakes were quite handy too.

Had a spin on the last corner which was a shame as it was going quite well on that lap, couldn't do another one as both engines were leaving puddles of oil out of the breather system afterwards but still didn't come last. Definitely ready for the rebuilds this winter

I think the engines are very tired, got some nasty rattles for them around the circuit which was when thought it better to stop and be able to make the 150mile drive home without needing the AA. Even after the 1/2mile runs it was dropping some oil and bit of smoke off the line from the front engine.

Wish i'd put the r888's on now for the sprints but was worried about getting grip roll at the time

Not a big fan of the little coned out circuits either for getting a good time as it's hard to judge the corners without a lot of practice laps (and i'm no driving master either) but at least you can be a complete hooligan without risking hitting anything other than maybe a cone

The rebuilding of the whole car (engines, transmissions, suspension, steering), including sorting the bodywork paint at last, will begin in a few weeks. Really hoping to have it completely done by summer next year if funds allow.
