I have just made my self some led rear lights, but i have had a look and am struggling to come up with something mirror effect or reflective to mount the LEDs into.
My first prototype i used a bit of diffuser from an old office bulkhead i pulled down at work but looks rough! any ideas or suggestions?

good suggestion but its abit of self accomplishment if you like, like when you stand back and look at the days work on the mini and think to your self: Iv done that! nothing wrong with that?

another bit id like to add to others is, I'm an maintenance engineer with my electrician skills by trade and work in factory full of extruder's, motors, panels DB's hydraulics, mechanical applications etc etc so i generally have a good sound knowledge of lots of different areas. electronic components i stayed away from since college.

But I'm coming to the end of my build and wanted to go down of the rout of led lights so purchased some software and had a play with it and have learnt alot (especially how to blow stuff up! ha ha)! its actually interesting stuff and useful to my jobs.

so before it kicks off,
I not suggesting members making there own gear for real and use people services if they wish to.

Having spent several years now developing LED lights, a word of caution

Be careful not to use ordinary LEDs..

they emit light over a much narrower angle than is either safe or specified by the regulations.
