the wheels will be spinning at the same rpm regardless of size but 1 rotation of a 16 will get you further (faster) than that of a 10. the fd will always spin at the same rpm as the wheels

Iv a 98 spec s80 integra type r box with 96spec 4th and 5th for longer gearing, diff is a little knocky but off the line it doesn't spin at all power just goes down, it's serious I got the gearbox for 450€ with everything in it

Ok so that has a FD: 4.785 I belive? Out of interest what sort of top speed do you think it's capable of? I also like that it doesn't spin at all. Very intresting spec, was looking at doing something very similar myself. I.e. using a 4.785 diff and then installing a longer 5th gear.

that is the worst possible box/gear combinations i could imagine, already one of the shortest boxes available made worse by a shorter 4th and 5th conversion, at least its got an expensive but knocky diff. your 5th would be very simliar to my 4th.

No it is correct!!!! When am I going to be driving around doing 140mph!!!! Never, it'll do 125mph no need for high speed in the car, it drives great, feels very good and in vtec in every gear, so good strong pull in all gears! So my experience is good, maybe it's not to everyone's taste but it's my car so my rules

Have the same gearbox in mine s80 LSD 96 integra
Standard 4.785 fd it's a great gearbox for putting the power on but gears was way too short for daily drive (for me anyway) The speedo was way out due to the different size wheels I now have a 3.47 fd in and pulling away it grips very well even full throttle LSD works well and I'm very happy with its performance so far. |

Khaos the speed sensor basically has One wire split from it One goes to the Ecu the other goes to the clocks my clocks (autometer) are calibrated for my tire size and final drive the Ecu still reads high (seen via s300 tho I could compensate for the tire size in Hondata) however the clocks are indeed calibrated for a 15" or what ever size tire and will read high when using anything smaller see this calculator just plug in your gear ratios and tire size and compare to stock Honda to see how fast u were really going zealautowerks.com/transcalc.php
