Default Bike engine conversion and passengers

Hi

Obviously the more weight the more strain on the bits, but if it's a fwd bike engine (promotive for arguments sake) has anyone taken a full car out? I'd hate a spend all of the time and money and find not suitable to take the wife and kids out for a spin incase it breaks
I'm not suggesting it would be a daily family run around, but the odd run out here and there with the family for example

Cheers

I would say that the weak part would be the clutch, engine will be bullet proof, then the rest of the build will only be as strong as the craftsmanship that's gone into it. Id say avoid 10500rpm plus hard gear changes and you will be fine lol. A close friend (although not in a car) built a turboed 1200Bandit and has done over 20,000miles of mostly abuse and its still fine(three clutches). That's just my view, could be totally wrong.....

Bike engines are for, err bikes, if you want a family friendly car put exactly that in it, a car engine, I'll concede a track car with bike engine works, but not a road car. That's just my view, could be totally wrong.....

A bike engine is totally unsuitable for dragging the family around in, they can and do work great when you keep the weight as low as possible
