Well, its been a long time. Been working on the Iroc quite a bit lately (custom brakes, 6 speed trans, etc..)
Started sanding the mini.
Decided not to go with green, saw a mini in green and just plain don't like it.
Think I'm going with redbull colors. Blue body, silver roof & hood stripes. Maybe some red pin stripes. Should look really good when done.
What do yall think?

That should look good! I am going with a similar look (Subaru blue pearl with white roof and stripes). I guess you could say Yamaha colors.

I really liked the green with white roof.

But I love themed racing cars. You don't see them anymore (JPS, jagermeister, Gulf), except redbull! So I say go for it!

Edit- As far as your gauge location, I actually pulmed mine inline with the fuel line and used a fittings/clamps. Your way seems better though, but I needed a way to connect the cut hose to the hose going to the steel line underneath anyway.

Back to solid color! Primer came out real nice which made me happy.
One more once-over with the sand paper and should have him looking good. Going to have the car sprayed once it's sanded as I do not have the proper facilities to paint.

Ended up getting my FPR and pressure gauge installed. Turned out really nice.
I am going to do comparisons between the stock FPR and the aftermarket to see how they compare a little later on.
Aftermarket FPR, Upgr8, works great so far, no complaints. Bolts right in place of the stocker so no hassle at all.

Sorry long time no updates. Been working on the Camaro quite a bit.

Mini is not painted yet, but I finally ended up getting the guts to chop the front off on Saturday.

It is now time to get some long needed engine work done, timing belt, recoat valve cover, oil pan gasket, and the LS transmission I put together will be going in also.

Heres the damage

Decided to ditch the fuel cell also, even though it is pretty. I am a function over fashion person so the usable aspect of trunk space (as little as it actually is) is enticing to me.

Ended up getting a stock 7.5 gal tank and making it bigger Bought two -6 steel fittings and welded a supply and return to the tank and voila.

Not as good as TurboMini's welds but it'll hold

Turned out pretty good for my first paint job

Yea
I like em
at first I was going to mask the "normal" mini stripes but those grew on me.
Going to try and paint the rest tomorrow.

Got everything painted and have been working a ton!
ended up having to sand the hood down all the way. Previous paint was effecting the finish badly.

Also got my "custom" stock fuel tank installed and mounted.
Much better IMO...
