All ideas welcome Andy. Have you got anything in mind? Perhaps you could be our liason with turbo mini forum once we have a better idea of a venue? We could maybe pool the numbers, it would make things cheaper.

Don't have anything in mind (not my specialist subject), but happy to try and drum up some interest on TM.

For a one off race I would travel to the south coast and make a holiday out it. For a monthly race series probably 150 miles one way. It was about 90 miles for me to get to barkston.

Curborough is a good test or 'event' venue, I have tested and shook down plenty of cars down there over the last 20 yrs.

As with most sprint / hillclimb venues it cannot match proper race track facilities but is very good value for money, no idea how much it is now as I haven't booked it for a few years but it tends to be fully booked up / utilised during the normal race / event season. But if you could make it an event on its own then all the better.

Not too far from M1 and directly on the A38, Tamworth is widely quoted as the centre of the country and this is not far from there So it has to be fairly positioned

I used to go to 3 sisters a lot of years ago Shaun but that's a different story!
On the other hand it is a very good track and has seen some very good racing there over the years although I haven't been on the track myself.

Possibly a bit out of the road for most but what about Kames in Ayrshire (Muirkirk)

http://www.eastayrshirecc.co.uk/

Nice circuit, canteen on site, toilets and showers on site.

British sprint championship used to use it before going back to Knockhill.

Thanks keith, its a option, rorenpier) thats a grate place, and there well at it, big respect to them!
I cant help but think ther may only be 1 way to get something going hear,
Seems that if ther was 4 or 5 eqwaly spaced out in a 9 month(aprox) period,
This would mean several diferant tracks, like 16v on tour series, lol
Only in my head tho chaps,
Again only in my head is that the chances of i true home bass,so to speek seems unlikely,
Colboura seems the faverat in truth, aint herd from taff geof yet, but i no he likes it,
I make it 10 poss of us, im sure thers many other known asosiosiats from the last venue,
I make that a poss 20) and for all we no they may already be useing colbougra!
Note) its to easy to speculate,, i hope!
Must be some more 16vmini members hear looking at this that there seasaw aint qwite
Tiped up in this direction yet,, lets hope some may feel encuragaged inuff to shout out
And take the plunge,
Thers a golden goose somewer just about to drop that golden egg,
Come on golden goose were are you,

We do run weekdays only at the moment, due to Curborough being used at weekends by MSA registered clubs.

We don't have dates for 2015 yet, and won't until December time, but we do have the rest of 2014 booked if that's of interest to you?

I look forward to hearing back from you, and please feel free to ask any questions.

Dan
Much abliged dan, the powers of internet hay,lol
We have several racers and are hopeing for some more to pop up,
There good guys and like your track,
Read the thred and introduce yourself, please do,
That way colbough will probebly clinch the deal,
Shaun,
It won't let me post at the moment sadly

But if you could pass on the info etc we'd be happy to accommodate you. We have a few race cars with us already which include group C cars and a few single seaters.

I'll keep an eye on the thread, and hopefully we can arrange something.

Dates for the rest of 2014 are;

August 22nd
September; 18th
October; 16th
November; 13th

I just drove 160 miles to go to Santa Pod which was 3 hours drive, only to sit in the rain and come home. This is about the limit though for a daily event.

I'll keep my eyes on this and am willing to attend once something gets agreed on...

Just looked at Blyton on you tube and looks a decent circuit. Also under 2 hours drive for me
