A guy from another forum bought a batch over from the states (only place you can get them) so I nabbed one while they were available.

Run out of money for this month so no new parts. However I did manage this mammoth task:

I drilled 3 small holes and one big one!
That's it for a while until payday comes round

Nice wheels! Do you have to put inner tubes in them. I'm asking because i have a set of Exacton but i'm hesitating cause i heard inner tube and radials where not good friends... http://www.wheels.ca/article/227845

Don't know if it's the same with racing slicks

Hadn't heard of that before? It's interesting though and makes sense. A few people have been running these wheels now and haven't had any problems yet (yet being the key word).

I may ask on some of the other forums, most people who have those wheels aren't on here.

I might have another update later today with things actually going together!

I asked around and it seems most of the autograss guys are using tubes without problems. It was also suggested to talc the tubes up so I've done that just as a precaution.

Anyway....

Right, some actual assembly!

Managed to hunt down a guy on ebay who had genuine timken rear wheel bearings and grease caps (everywhere seems to be sold out) for 15 a side!

So with that, I built up my rear hubs:

With a drum:

It looks like there won't be enough thread for my wheels and nuts but the studs aren't pulled through fully yet. They were just tapped in with hammer.

That's all for now, but I'm sure I'll find some other little bits to do instead of my dissertation.
