I'm never sure about stickers on bodywork, normally they look naff. I do really like Mini Gt stripes for some reason though.
Happy with them, not too ott with them being low down, even with orange text. ![]() |

Thought I'd rebuild the spare steering rack this weekend, the factory support bush is made of nylon and it cracks and falls apart over time. This one actually wasn't too bad but still caused play in the rack and an annoying knocking sound.
Rebuilt with a bronze support bush that I had machined to fit exactly. No more play ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Repainted rocker all fitted.
![]() Short test drive on some totally private roads, it works! It is sitting very low on the TF coilovers, they are meant for bigger wheels so this is causing some major camber. I've raised it an inch since I took this and it's appears much better. Ordered some standard R100 ball joins which may also help if needed. Extra ground clearance is also better even if it doesn't look quite so badass. ![]() First time I've been more than walking speed in it and the pedal force required to stop it is rather more than I was hoping for. I've looked at fitting bigger discs but it's not happening under the 14's which are staying. I checked the pads and the ones I fitted were unknown, they looked very brittle and one had a raised area so wasn't making full contact with the disc. Changed for some standardish Apec pads today, ran it in 4th gear, off the ground with some brake pressure for a few min, brake discs now cleaned evenly so I shall try again. Plan B is fit a remote servo on the front line or grow some leg muscle. ![]() |

Thanks, I've decided it was a bit too low though.
This is after raising the coilovers a bit, still a couple of degrees too much camber. ![]() New ride height, doesnt look as badass but now I have more than 2" ground clearance! ![]() I'm wanting to fit 280mm discs and there is no way they are going to fit under 14" wheels, gutted as I love the orange ones I bought but needs must. 15" to test fit, with 45 profile tyres they are actually not much more in diameter then my 14 with 50 profile. ![]() |
